Using the A&D Medical UA-651 Blood
Pressure Monitor
This chapter describes how to use the A&D Medical Model UA-651 Blood Pressure Monitor with the
VistaPoint application for the purpose of monitoring blood pressure. The Model UA-651 is a self-
contained blood pressure monitor that is applied to the patient’s arm on an as-needed basis.
The Model UA-651 operates as a “spot check” device, meaning that it is suitable for taking a single
measurement of blood pressure at regular intervals (for example, once a day or on a schedule as directed
by clinical personnel).
Preparing the Model UA-651 for Operation
Before using the Model UA-651 Blood Pressure Monitor with the VistaPoint application, refer to the

UA-651 Instruction Manual
to perform the following tasks:

Read and understand the Indications for Use, Warnings, and Cautions
•
Unpack the device
•
Install batteries
Pairing the Model UA-651
Use the following procedure to pair the Model UA-651 Blood Pressure Monitor to the VistaPoint
application:
Step 1: Launch VistaPoint
Launch the VistaPoint application. Ensure the VitalPatch biosensor on the patient is paired with
VistaPoint and is currently displaying the patient’s vital signs.
Step 2: Pair New in VistaPoint
a. In the Blood Pressure section of the VistaPoint display, tap the
Pair New
button.

b. VistaPoint prompts you to select the model of the Blood Pressure Monitor. Select
