ALARMS
If a monitor is defined as being included in the alarm response, the alarm process takes precedence over all system
users/operators including users/operators within any of the menu screens (except the alarm definition menu and the
system menu).
While changes are in progress within the alarm definition menu and the system menu, the detection
of alarms will be suppressed
.
The alarm response definition menu allows video selection to monitors 1, 2 and 3. Monitor 4 is used as the primary
display for all current alarms in sequence (except any alarm being displayed on another monitor).
For example, consider three alarms triggered in sequence, called (in this example) A, B and C. The alarm definition for
each alarm determines that they will be shown on monitors 1 and 2. Therefore, monitor 4 (the primary alarm display
monitor) will sequence between alarms B and C while alarm A is displayed on monitors 1 and 2.
After any keyboard has acknowledged alarm A, the displays for alarm A will disappear and the next alarm in precedence,
alarm B, will appear on monitors 1 and 2. Alarm C will appear on monitor 4.
