ALARM HANDLING MENU

Alarm o/p

This field determines whether the alarm output relay contacts will be on or off

when the alarm event occurs. Use the joystick up/down to select

ON

 or

OFF

from the picklist. The alarm output will stay active for the same period the alarm

is active.

Sounder

This field allows you to adjust the duration of the built-in keyboard sounder. Use

the up/down joystick to select from

Short

Medium

Long

 or

Off

.

Cam/View, No.

These three fields allow you to select the monitor and camera/view combination

that will be recalled to monitors 1, 2 and 3 during the selected alarm event.

Cam/View

 - select, using the up/down joystick,

. Note

that changing the

Cam/View

field will automatically set the corresponding

No.

field to 00. You must enter the required

No.

 after the

Cam/View

 field has been

changed.

No.

 - use the number keys to select the number of the camera or view.

It  is  possible  to  reserve  a  monitor  for  control  purposes  by  preventing  it  from

going into an alarm condition. This is achieved in the Alarm response menu for

Alarm Response 1 (AL 1). By setting the number (

No.

) of one of the monitors to

00,  it  becomes  transparent  to  the  alarm  system  and  functions  as  a  control

monitor. The fields corresponding to the selected monitor will be grayed out in

all  the  other Alarm  responses  pages.

This  feature  will  only  work  when

implemented on Alarm Response 1.

INPUT SETTINGS MENU

This menu allows you to define the steady, or ‘held’ states for each of the 16

alarm  inputs.  Each  alarm  input  is  defined  in  terms  of  an  alarm  number  and

whether  its  defined  steady  state  is  Normally  Open  or  Normally  Closed  (

NO

,

NC

). Use the up/down joystick to select an alarm input. Press enter then use the

up/down joystick to toggle the input between

NO

 or

NC

.

Each alarm should be manually activated after a change in the steady states

menu. This ensures that the first actuation is not lost.

OUTPUT SETTINGS MENU

This menu allows you to determine the output state of the built-in alarm contacts

for the output relay. The contacts can be Normally Open or Normally Closed

(

NO

NC

). Use the up/down joystick to toggle the output between

NO

 or

NC

.

ALARM WINDOW SETUP MENU

This menu allows you to define up to eight time frames during which alarms

will be disarmed. A time frame consists of an

off

 time, an

on

 time and a

day

 of

the week.

Off

These fields allow you to specify the time that the disarm period will commence.

Use the joystick up/down to select the desired Disarm period. Use the joystick

and number keys to enter the time in 24 hour format.

the  joystick  up/down  to  select  the  desired Arm  period.  Use  the  joystick  and

number keys to enter the time in 24 hour format.
Note that the Arm time is included in the window i.e. for an alarm time set to
