5 Functional description

Connection from SmartDisc to the Receiver (Alarm)
You can enter up to four numbers / IP addresses that will be processed ac-
cording to configurable criteria in the event of an alarm. Field one always has
the highest priority. SmartDisc dials each of the numbers in the specified or-
der until one of the parties is reached. The number of repeats specifies the
maximum number of times that the list is processed. The system can also be
configured to dial all of the numbers.
SmartDiscISDN with
external adapter
For SmartDiscISDN, an "I" or "i" must be entered before the telephone
number if an external ISDN adapter is also connected to the device. This en-
sures the alarm is sent via the integrated ISDN TA.
Null modem
The telephone number fields must be empty to establish a connection over
the null modem interface.
