Gateway
The Gateway address, or Default Gateway, is a router interface connected to the
Local Area Network [LAN] used to send packets from the LAN. Click within the

and type the value of the Gateway address that you want to use. Click
Save
to retain
the Gateway address. When
NewS
tream
uses the DHCP type, this
fi
eld displays the
Gateway received by the DHCP server.
DNS Server
Domain Name System [DNS] Server hosts a network service for providing responses
to queries against a directory service. It maps a human-recognizable identi
fi
er to
a system-internal, numeric, identi
fi
cation or addressing component. This service is
performed by the server according to a network service protocol. The most important
function of the DNS Server is the translation or resolution of human-memorable domain
names and hostnames into the corresponding numeric Internet Protocol Addresses.
Click within the
fi
eld and type the value of the DNS address that you want to use. Click
Save
to retain the DNS Server address. When
NewS
tream
uses the DHCP type, this
fi
eld displays the DNS Server address received by the DHCP server.
