The CPU will not easily fit into the socket if you are trying to plug it in the wrong way
around.

Warning!

Make sure you lift the lever completely when installing the CPU. If the lever is only
partly raised, damage to the socket or CPU may result.

Installing the Heatsinks

Please refer to Figure 21 for heatsink installation. Note that the motherboard shown
below is not the Viglen VIG705P; however the heatsink location and installation
procedure is identical.

1) Do not apply any thermal grease to the heatsink or the CPU die; the required

amount of thermal grease has already been applied.

2) Place the heatsink on top of the CPU so that the four mounting holes are aligned

with those on the retention mechanism.

3) Screw in two diagonal screws (i.e. the #1 and #2 screws) until just snug (do not

fully tighten the screws to avoid possible damage to the CPU.)

4) Finish the installation by fully tightening all four screws.
