• If you select RGB8 greyscale as your color
format, SwiftCap captures in greyscale,
but continues to preview in color. Also,
if you capture to the VMR7 Renderer or
VMR9 Renderer, you will get color video;
you will only see greyscale video with the
“Video Renderer” selection.
• The current version of SwiftCap does not
handle Video for Windows devices very
well. The buttons to access the driver’s
Source and Format dialogs do not work.

The Osprey AVStream driver performs raw
capture of NTSC closed caption character
pairs. The character pairs are emitted as a raw,
uninterpreted, DirectShow-standard CC Category
stream.
CCApp (figure 7) renders Closed Captioning on
video, and also displays it as line mode text in
a separate text box. The View options permit
viewing of no video, video without captions, or
video with captions; and allow the text box to be
shown or removed.
CCApp requires that the filter CCFilter.ax be
present on the system. The driver setup
program installs this filter.
