Matching the control unit to the modulating burner
Note
The burner must be fully adjusted. To achieve a wide
modulating range, set the minimum output as low as
possible (take the chimney and flue system into
account).
0 1. Start the burner.
0 2. Tap the following buttons:
0 3. "Service"
0 4. Enter the password "viservice".
0 5. "Actuator test"
0 6. "Burner modulation" "OPEN"
0 7. Wait until the burner servomotor is set to maxi-
mum output.
0 8. Determine the maximum burner output by means
of the fuel consumption.
Record the relevant value.
0 9. "Burner modulation" "CLOSE"
10. Check the time it takes until the servomotor is at
minimum output.
Record the relevant value.
11. Determine the minimum burner output (base load)
through the fuel consumption.
Record the relevant value.
12. "Burner modulation" "OPEN"
After
⅓
the time measured in point 10, select the
"Burner modulation" "Neutral" function.
The servomotor is stopped.
13. Determine the partial output through the fuel con-
sumption.
14. Use to end the actuator test.
15. Set the values determined in parameter level 2 in
the
"Boiler" group: See the following table.
