4.5 Water connection
Safety equipment acc. to DIN 47512
DIN 47512 requires the following safety
equipment:
H
A sealed expansion vessel.
H
A safety valve at the highest point of
the boiler or a pipe connected with the
boiler.
The pipework between the boiler and
the safety valve must not be able to be
shut off. Pumps, fittings or restrictions
must not be present in this pipework.
The blow−off line should be constructed
so as to prevent the possibility of
increases in pressure.
Any expelled heating water must be
able to be drained off safely. Arrange
the outlet of the blow−off line so that
any water expelled from the safety
valve can be safely observed and
drained off.
H
A low water indicator (water limiter
available as accessory).
H
A thermometer and a pressure gauge.
H
An automatic device for heat disposal,
which prevents the maximum
permissible operating temperature to
be exceeded. To affect this, connect a
thermal safety drain valve (available as
accessory) to the integral heat
exchanger.
General design notes
H
When connecting several heating
circuits, the total of the drawn heat
should not exceed the rated boiler
output. Line regulating valves should be
installed to ensure improved system
control. Frequently the estimated and
actual heat demands are far apart,
because of a lack of thermal building
insulation (new construction, not yet
rendered/plastered, etc.).
H
All systems require a return
temperature raising facility, a heating
water buffer storage unit and a
weather−compensated control unit with
three−way mixer.
H
Blank off connections which are not
required.
Thermostatic drain valve
Connect the thermostatic drain valve acc.
to DIN 47512 with an unrestricted drain
to the heat exchanger. This connection
must not be able to be manually shut off.
After the installation, the thermostatic
drain valve, the non−return valve, the
safety valve and the clean−out cover
should still be freely accessible.
