1.3 Safety Precautions
Caution: Read these operating instructions carefully before starting up any of
the components. This will avoid any damage or malfunction resulting from
incorrect use.
1. The camera has to be inspected at regular intervals.
An authorized technician should be employed to perform the inspection.
Installation may only be carried out by the customer service section or
authorized personnel according to the existing VDE regulations.
2. Do not continue using the camera in the event of any malfunction.
There is a danger of fire if the camera is used in a smoky or unusually hot
environment.
3. The camera should be set up on a suitable surface capable of providing
sufficient support.
An unsuitable surface may cause the camera to fall or may result in other
hazards.
4. Do not touch the plug with wet hands!
Risk of electric shock!
5. Do not take the camera apart.
Risk of fire, explosion or electric shock!
6. Do not use the camera in the vicinity of a gas or oil leak!
Risk of fire or explosion !
7. Do not drop the camera or subject it to impact!
This may result in malfunction!
8. Do not hold the front of the camera directly in a strong light!
This may damage the CCD.
9. Do not install the camera under extreme conditions of temperature.
Only operate the camera at temperatures between −10
o
C and 50
o
C
.
Ensure
there is adequate ventilation when the camera is operated at high
temperatures.
10.Do not install or operate the camera in an environment with high humidity.
This may impair the picture quality.
11. Do not install the camera where lighting conditions fluctuate.
Severe changes or fluctuations in the lighting conditions may result in
malfunction.
12.Do not touch the lens on the front of the camera.
It is one of the most important components on the camera. Do not leave any
fingerprints on it!
