2.9. Operating Config
Enables you to choose different blocking methods and defines an interval for the probe send
SNMP query to the switch.

When blocking command is executed, the probe sends out ‘Blocking
Packet’ to disconnect the specific host from the network.
According the monitoring results and needs, you can change the
blocking method. It is recommended to keep the default value
unless advised otherwise.

Time Out
Interval to check the socket port between IPScan Server and the probe. If
the probe and IPScan Server cannot establish the communication within
30 seconds, it will be recognized as connection time out. The maximum
interval is 1440 seconds
The port number in use for the communication is 30001. If your
network is using firewall and/or security related products installed
in the network, you need to have port 30001 opened for the proper
communication.

Msg Action
If you are using WormSaver Agent in the network, you can define an
option to send alarm about the reason of blocking using WormSaver
Agent. If WormSaver is not in use, choose ‘OFF’.

Interval
If you are using [Switch Port Scan] function to gather switch’s port
information, you can define the query interval to update the IP status from
switches. You can define from 0 to 1440 minutes.
