PTT
KEY
FUNCTION
You can select the
PTT
key function desired.
1. Press and hold the [
VOL/SEL
] key for one second to activate the Menu mode.
2. Rotate the
DIAL
knob to select Menu Item “
F23 PTT MODE
”.
3. Press the
key to enable selection of the
PTT
key function. The current
PTT
key
function appears on the LCD.
4. Rotate the
DIAL
knob to select the desired
PTT
key function.
MOMENT
: Press and hold the
PTT
key, to activate the transmitter. Release the
PTT
key,
to return to receive.
TOGGLE
: Briefly press the
PTT
key to activate the transmitter. Briefly, press the
PTT
key once again, to return to receive.
5. Press the [
VOL/SEL
] key to save the new setting and resume normal operation.

EEPER
A key beeper provides useful audible feedback whenever a key is pressed.
Follow this procedure to turn the beeper on or off:
1. Press and hold the [
VOL/SEL
] key for one second to activate the Menu mode.
2. Rotate the
DIAL
knob to select Menu Item “
F6 BEEP
”.
3. Press the
key to enable selection of this Menu Item.
4. Rotate the
DIAL
knob to change the setting to “
OFF
”.
5. Press the [
VOL/SEL
] key to save the new setting and exit to normal operation.
6. To turn the beep back on again, select “
KEY
” or “
KEY+SC
(factory default)” in step 4
above.
KEY
:
The beeper sounds when you press the key.
KEY+SC
: The beeper sounds when you press the key, or when the scanner stops.

You may assign/exclude the functions which recall with the top panels’

key.
1. Press and hold the [
VOL/SEL
] key for one second to activate the Menu mode.
2. Rotate the
DIAL
knob to select Menu Item “
F15 FKEY SEL
”.
3. Press the
key to enable selection of this Menu Item.
4. Rotate the
DIAL
knob to select the function you wish to assign or exclude.
5. Press and hold the
key for one second to toggle the function on (assign) and off
(exclude).
6. Press the [
VOL/SEL
] key to save the new setting and exit to normal operation.
