Fit a support bar to the wall as per the image, 530 mm
above the base cabinet. Check that the wall cabinet and tall
cabinet come to the same height. Mark space for ventilation
to a possible fan cabinet.
See the fan supplier’s instructions.
3.1 SUPPORT BAR FOR WALL CABINETS
When connecting cabinets, DO NOT SCREW into the pilot holes.
The screws in the image are hidden by the hinge when the door
is fitted. Use connection screws (TFX 4x28). In the case of hinges
with damping, the connection screw is not located in the same
place, rather it is moved down and inwards into the frame, where it
becomes visible, see “1.5 Putting together base cabinets” on page
11. For veneered cabinets and shelves for wine/cookbooks, screw
from inside adjacent cabinets.
3. Installing wall cabinets
The outside of the ceiling connector must be 4 mm inside the
cabinet frame. Measure and mark where the ceiling connector
will sit. Nail or screw a strip into the ceiling to be attached to (not
included in the delivery from Vedum). Fit the strip before installing
the wall cabinet if there is little space between the ceiling and the
wall cabinet.
Install the wall cabinet with support from the support bar.
Take note of filler panels; select screws that are suitable for the
wall material (not included in the delivery from Vedum). Clamp the
next cabinet to the last one and screw the cabinets together. Once
all the cabinets have been installed, remove the support bar. When
installing with screws from inside the frame, the screw heads can be
covered with cover plugs, white 20 mm, with art. no. 39226. Can be
used in the glass cabinets. If there is a filler panel up to the wall,
also install a “cover” behind the filler panel at the bottom edge and
the top edge so that there is no hole there. This does not apply if a
lighting base is installed below or a ceiling connector above the
wall cabinet.
