Example: the language of the
Infotainment system is set to English,
Country is set to "GERMANY (D)",
and you want to enter the city
name "BAD MÜNDER".
When spelling the city name, you can
omit the space and replace the
special German letter "Ü" by an "U".
User: "City".
System: "Please spell the city name.".
User: "B" "A" "D" "M" "U" "N" "D" "E"
"R".
System: displays a list with the best
matches, e.g.:
"1. BAD MÜNDER"
"2. BAD MÜNSTER"
"3. ..." etc.
User: "1" (or "Yes").
System: sets City to BAD MÜNDER.
Assigning a name to a destination
address
You can assign names to a maximum
of 20 destination addresses stored in
the address book.
Afterwards you can select one of
these destination addresses by
simply saying the assigned name.
User: manually selects an address in
the address book, see section
"Destination input" above.
System: displays the Navigation
menu.
User: manually selects the Edit menu
item.
System: displays the Edit menu.
User: manually selects the Add
name menu item.
System: "Please say the destination
name."
User: can say an arbitrary name.
The regarding destination address
can be selected now at any time by
simply saying the assigned
name: "Navigate to <name>".
Note
If you delete an address from the
address book, a name (voice tag)
possibly assigned to this address
will also be deleted.
Note
If you change the language shown
on the Infotainment system's
display, all names currently
assigned to preset stations and/or
destination addresses will be
deleted.

General information
When you press the button
w
on the
steering wheel, and the phone portal
is currently active (any phone related
menu is displayed), the speech
recognition of the phone portal will be
activated.
As long as the speech recognition of
the phone portal is active, you cannot
change to another mode of operation
(e.g. radio mode) using a voice
command.
