Speech recognition
After assigning a name to a station,
you can select that station by simply
saying the assigned name.
Action: the user wants to assign
a name to the currently played
(preset) station.
User: activates speech recognition.
User: "Add station name".
System: "Please say the station
name."
User: "BBC 2".
The regarding station can be selected
now at any time by simply saying the
assigned name, see below.
Note
If you change the language shown
on the Infotainment system's
display, all names currently
assigned to preset stations and/or
destination addresses will be
deleted.

Note
If you use a name which was
assigned to a station by another
person, the name may not be
recognized by the speech
recognition because of the possibly
very different voices and
pronunciations.
User: activates speech recognition.
User: "Play BBC 2".
System: plays the regarding station.
Examples on CD player control
Situation: an audio or MP3 CD is
already inserted, the CD player mode
is currently active.
Selecting an album on an MP3 CD
User: activates speech recognition.
User: "Album list".
System: shows the list of albums on
the MP3 CD (if albums available).
User: manually selects the desired
album.
Selecting a track on an audio CD
User: activates speech recognition.
User: "All tracks".
System: shows the list of tracks
stored on the audio CD.
User: manually selects the desired
track.
Alternatively, if you know the number
of the desired track:
User: "Track 14" (or using single
digits: "Track" "1" "4").
System: plays the selected track.
Examples on navigation control
Situation: the navigation mode is
currently active, route guidance is not
active.
Changing route options
Action: the user wants to change the
current settings of some route options
for an upcoming trip.
User: activates speech recognition.
User: "Route options".
System: shows the regarding help
menu. The currently activated route
options are indicated by check marks.
