Device-Specific Event Messages
Event messages also include device-specific messages that indicate the
type of error and specify the device in which it has occurred. Sample
messages include, for example, “MILOS BATTERY LOW”, "SOLAR
BATTERY(A/B)", and "LOW VOLTAGE AT LLWAS SITE X". These
messages provide you with detailed information on the nature of the error.
For troubleshooting instructions, refer to the manual of the appropriate
device.
Event Messages Related to History Files
The following alarms are related to the history files saved by the ASCII
Log View application.
ASCII DATABASE SERVICE: DISK SPACE LOW (NN
MEGABYTES AVAILABLE)
This message indicates that the free disk space allocated for the history
files has decreased to the amount specified in the message. The default
limit for the warning is 100 MB. The system continues to save incoming
data in the history files.
This is a preliminary warning. You should make more disk space available
in the history folder (by default, the file is located in Avimet\HISTORY).
ASCII DATABASE SERVICE: OUT OF DISK SPACE
This is a final warning. It indicates that the free disk space allocated for
history files has decreased to half of the specified amount. At this point, the
system no longer saves incoming data in the history files.
Immediately free more disk space in the history folder (by default,
Avimet\HISTORY). The system continues saving history files when
enough free disk space is available in the folder. There has to be free disk
space available at least half of the amount that triggers the DISK SPACE
LOW alarm. For instance, if the limit for the alarm is 100 MB, make sure
that there is at least 50 MB free disk space in the history folder.
CAUTION
When the system event message "ASCII DATABASE SERVICE: OUT
OF DISK SPACE" is displayed, the system no longer saves incoming
data in the history files. Make more disk space available so that saving
can continue.
