Graphical
Windshear Display
Typically part of the
Weather View
application. Indicates the windshear
alerts in graphical format on the airport image.
invalid data status
A
data status
displayed in the weather data fields in the

application. The background color of the field is red. This status
indicates that the data is not valid due to sensor or system problems. See

A system maintenance application for connecting to field devices and
sending commands to them.
LAN
Local Area Network. The AviMet system computers are connected via

LLWAS algorithm The algorithm used in the AviMet LLWAS system for calculating the
windshear conditions. The LLWAS phase III windshear algorithm
