4.9.1 Advance
function
The reheating function is enabled upon activation of the
advance function, i.e. the preset target value for the cyl-
inder is permanently held, if necessary by reheating.
4.9.2 Single
reheat
When the single reheat is activated, the cylinder is heat-
ed once to the set temperature.
4.9.3 Holiday
function
Activation turns the operating mode to "OFF" for the
preset holiday period (1…99 days). This also deactivates
both the solar yield and the reheating function.
4.10 Cylinder
priority
Two solar-heated cylinders can be connected to the
heating installation. Using the PRIO cylinder priority
function, you can determine which cylinder is heated
with the highest priority. This will typically be the pota-
ble water cylinder. Unambiguous identification of the cyl-
inders is only possible by means of the cylinder sensors
(cylinder 1 = SP 2; cylinder 2 = SP 3).
You can only change this setting in the installer level.
4.11
Frost protection system
The frost protection system is only relevant to Spain,
owing to legal requirements. It is deactivated when the
system is delivered (standard setting: OFF).
4.12
Solar circuit protection function
If the solar heat exceeds the current heat requirement
(e.g. all cylinders fully charged), the temperature in the
collector array can rise steeply.
If the protection temperature at the collector sensor is
exceeded, the collector pump is shut down to protect
the solar circuit (solar pump, valves, etc.) from overheat-
ing, or restarting initiated by a demand for solar reheat-
ing is prevented. The solar pump is switched on again
after cooling down.
This function is performed independently for each col-
lector array.
4.13
Solar pump kick (Tubular collector function)
Depending on the design, there is a time delay in meas-
uring the temperature of tubular collectors, which can
be shortened with the tubular collector function.
Measured value of the collector temperature when the
tube collector function is active:
When the temperature at the collector sensor rises by
2 °C, the solar pump is switched on for 15 s (solar pump
kick). This transports the heated solar fluid to the point
of measurement more quickly.
If the difference between collector and cylinder temper-
ature is at least 10 °C, the solar pump runs for a propor-
tionately longer duration to heat up the cylinder (differ-
ential control).
If two solar circuits are connected, the activation of the
tube collector function applies to both solar circuits. The
function is performed separately for each collector
array.
