14.1 Packaging
D
o not allow children to play with packaging material, as it presents a risk of
injury or suffocation. Store packaging material in a safe place or dispose of it in
an environmentally friendly manner.
14.2 Safety
Make the appliance unusable to prevent any accidents occurring as a result of improper
use (e.g. children playing with the appliance):
Disconnect the appliance from the power supply. A qualified electrician must do this if the
appliance has been installed in a fixed location. Following this, cut the power cable off
the appliance.
14.3 Disposal

The icon showing a crossed-out wheelie bin indicates that the appliance needs to
be disposed of in line with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)
Directive. Appliances of this kind may contain hazardous substances that could harm the
environment.

These appliances must be disposed of at a registered collection point for recycling
electrical and electronic waste. They must not be disposed of along with unsorted
household waste. This will help conserve resources and protect the environment.
