Splicing For Actuator Cable

Push to Open Applications
Actuator cable modifications are necessary for push to open installations. For proper operation the open and
close limit lines and the motor control wires must be reversed. Splicing should be performed only when
actuator cable is disconnected from the control board.
USAutomatic push to open adapter can also be purchased separately.

Actuator Harness Modification
If 8’ actuator cable must be spliced a water tight junction box
must be used to prevent moisture from splice. The wire used for
the splice should be no smaller than the actuator cable wire
provided. Use only approved wire nuts or crimp splices for
connection. Make second splice inside control box.
5 conductor cable (2-12gauge, 3-18 gauge wires).
Extension cable is sold separately.
