Finally, drag the lens tissue across the mirror surface cleaning and drying the lens
with the dry portion of the lens tissue in one movement.
d.
Inspect mirror and repeat procedure if necessary until mirror is clean.
OTE:
Never use the same tissue twice as dust build-up on the tissue may scratch the
surface of the mirror.
4.3.5 BEAM WIDOW CLEAIG
1.
The beam window is located in front of the port through which the laser beam enters the
engraving area after passing through the first mirror shutter block assembly (reference
figure 3).
2.
Usually it is only necessary to clean the outside surface of the window. This can be done
with the window in place. Thoroughly dust off the window using an oil free compressed
air source or the Freon duster described earlier. If window is extremely dirty use a stream
of lens cleaning solution #1 from the small plastic wash bottle to flush the surface instead.
3.
Apply lens cleaning solution #1 to the window using the sprayer bottle. Let sit for one
minute.
4.
Wet a cotton swab and gently wipe across window.
5.
Use new dry swabs and repeat wiping across window to dry.
6.
Inspect window and repeat procedure if necessary until window is clean.
7.
If window appears dirty on the inner surface as well, it can be removed by removing the
four screws which attach the window holder to the system and removing the window from
the holder. Be careful not to lose the white nylon window spacers. If the window is
removed it should be cleaned in the same manner as the final focus lens then replaced.

TOP DOOR ADJUSTMET
The top door is an integral part of the Class I enclosure which contains the laser beam. If the top
door becomes damaged in any way it should be replaced immediately. Periodic inspection and
adjustment is necessary to ensure the door is operating properly. The hinges on the door will
wear with time and can be adjusted as follows:
1.
Hold door in vertical position and tighten hinge screws so door just stays up in vertical
position and if tilted to one side or the other begins to fall.
