Split pairs error description
Inside the mains cables the eight conductors are twisted
(twisted) two to two thus forming four pairs: 1-2, 3-6, 4-5, 7-8
and this ensures the performance declared by the manufacturer.
The SPLIT PAIRS error condition is the exchange of two
conductors belonging to different pairs in both positions of the
testcable.
Pin matching is maintained, but physically the cables
of the two pairs are crossed. The two pairs thus crossed affect
each other making it difficult, if not impossible, to exchange
data at high frequency/speed.
Testing using multiple remote drives
The instrument allows mapping tests to also be performed on
multiple cables with RJ45 connector using other (max. 4)
optional remote units.
1.
Turn on the instrument by pressing the key
2.
Select the category (CAT5, CAT6) of test cables
3.Select the type (UTP, STP) of cables with rj45 connector on
trial
4.Connect the end of one of the test cables (ex:#3) to the
instrument input RJ45 connectors and the corresponding remote
unit (ex:#3)using patch cables as shown
in the
