Verify cable mapping with RJ4 connector
The test verifies the mapping of LAN cables, in CAT5 or
CAT6, of type UTP or STP with RJ45 connector by detecting
any cabling errors. Operate as follows:
1. Turn on the instrument by pressing the button
2. Select the category (CAT5 or CAT6) of the test cable
3. Select the type (UTP, STP) of the test cable
4. Connect the test cable ends to the instrument input RJ45
connector and the #1 remote unit, or, if necessary, use the
supplied patch cables as shown below:
5.Press the key . The instrument tests in accordance with
the cable side set, providing the message "PASS" for correct
testing or the symbol "
"in addition to flashing pairs in case
of error on wiring
6.Press the button to display the length of the cable.
