1.1 Initial Check
1) Check whether packing case is damaged or not.
2) Take handheld spectrum analyzer out from packing
case, check whether it is damaged during transportation
or not.
3) According to packing list, check whether all accessories
and documents have been delivered with instrument.
If packing case or vibration-absorptive material is damaged,
firstly check whether instrument and accessories are
complete or not, and then test electrical properties of
handheld spectrum analyzer.
If instrument is damaged during transportation or some
accessories are missing, please inform us. We will repair or
exchange it as your requirements as soon as possible. Please
keep transportation materials for future packing. Please see
Chapter 6 “Repairing of Spectrum Analyzer” for disposition
ways.
1.2 Safety Precautions before use
1.2.1. Check Power
Handheld spectrum analyzer has two power supply modes,
i.e. supplied by power adapter and internal battery. The
input of power adapter adopts power cord interface, in line
with international safety standards.
If power of instrument is supplied by power adapter,
ground wire of AC power shall be reliably grounded.
Before start-up, make sure that ground wire of AC power
has been reliably grounded, and then put plug of power
cord in the standard three-pin socket. Don’t use power cord
not protected by grounded ground wire. Floating grounding
or bad grounding may lead to the damage of spectrum
analyzer, even personal injury.
1.2.2. Allowed Variation Range of Power Supply
Parameters
UTS1000 Series Handheld Spectrum Analyzer’s power
adapter adopts 100V~240V, 50Hz AC power. When
handheld spectrum analyzer normally works, requirements
of +9V power adapter for power has been listed in Table
1-1.
