The equipment includes - for a safe and correct resting position of the patient - 3 quick-
release safety belts with a storage bag.
3.3 Patient pick-up and closing of the scoop stretcher
1. To position the ultraSCOOP STRETCHER (X-RAY) under the patient without moving him,
unlock the locks on the foot and head side (point 3.2).
There are various application techniques for the scoop stretcher. You can place the
halves under the patient from the sides or only open the scoop stretcher at the bottom
end, which then forms an “A”. Carefully position the top end under the patient’s head
and close the bottom end (with a so-called “scooping” motion).
The type of application must be individually determined, depending on the nature of
the injury.
Make sure that while the patient is being placed on the stretcher, their body
parts are not pinched and their clothes or hair do not get caught in the scoop
stretcher.
2. Adjust the two sections to the length and position next to the patient to be transported.
If the patient’s legs protrude beyond the edge of the scoop stretcher, check to see whether
the patient’s legs require additional immobilisation. If the injured person is shorter than
1.20 m, we recommendIf by using of ultraSCOOP STRETCHER X-RAY additional using the
straps SAN-0281 or SAN-0286.
3. Slide the two sections of the stretcher under the patient.
4. Bring the two sections together until the corresponding blocking devices are audibly
locked (lock head and foot side).
