Physical connection
1) Each load bank has one input port (PORT-1, E2A) and one output port (PORT-2,
E3A) located just below display assembly on the load bank.
2) Master load bank will have no connection on the input port. Connect networking
cable (E610A) from output port of Master load bank to the input port of next load
bank (Slave-1). Similarly, connect networking cable from out port of Slave-1 load
bank to input port of Slave-2 Load bank. Connect Slave-3 and Slave-4 in similar
way.
3) Make sure network resistor (E544A), located on TB1 inside each load bank are
placed in line for Master and last slave in the network e.g Slave-4. However this
network resistor must be pulled out for any load bank between Master and last
slave e.g from Salve-1, Slave-2 and Slave-3
Powering up Master – Slave Load banks
Note: For master to identify all salves load banks, master load bank should be powered up
last (i.e power up all slave load banks first) or all load banks in the network should be
powered up simultaneously.
If steps of physical connection, settings and powered up are done correctly then following
screen should be displayed on Master load bank,(see figure-13)
Figure-13 Multiple load bank operation
Click <MULTIPLE> to operate load banks in Master – Slave mode. Following screen
showing ID, KW capacity, Fault and communication status of each load bank will show on
master load bank
