After selecting the user and putting
on the cuff, press the START/STOP
key to start the measurement.
The complete display notification is
visible (image 1).
After the device has completed its
calibration against the ambient air
pressure (image 2), the automatically controlled inflat-
ing process begins.
10. Measuring blood pressure
Image 1
Image 2
Measurements are automatically taken during the in-
flation process (image 3). During measurement, the
symbol blinks to display the heart rate. After the meas-
urements are complete, the results will be shown on the
display (image 4).
The measured values will be saved automatically.

11. Classification of the measured values (WHO)
The device will classify the measured blood pres-
sure value in accordance with the guidelines of the
World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Inter-
national Society of Hypertension (ISH) of 1999. By
looking at the triangle on the display and the colour
fields next to display, you will be able to read the
classification taken after every measurement.
Only a doctor can determine your correct blood pressure range and can
evaluate if your blood pressure has reached a possibly dangerous level
for your case. Discuss your blood pressure values with your doctor.
* It already suffices for one value to be elevated.

To switch off the device, press the START/STOP button
or wait until the device switches off automatically.
12. Display of irregular pulse
If the device has registered irregular pulses during the
measurement, the symbol for irregular pulse will
appear in the display after the measurement. The irreg-
ularities may also be caused by cardiac dysrhythmia,
disturbing movements, speaking, or by deep breathing.
This symbol will appear if the heart rhythm fluctuates while the device is
measuring the systolic and diastolic blood pressure. During the measure-
ment, the device records all pulse intervals and calculates the average val-
ue. If two or more pulse intervals deviate from the average by more than
25% or four or more pulse intervals deviate from the average by more
than 15%, the symbol will be displayed to indicate an irregular pulse.
