• Never touch both the electrically live parts of the device (e.g., charger
or charging cable) and the patient at the same time.
• The blood pressure monitor, cuff, and the charger are suitable for a
patient environment.
• The device is not suitable for continuously monitoring blood pressure
levels during medical emergencies or operations. The blood flow in
the arm may be blocked causing numbness, swellings and discolour-
ation of the fingers.
• The device is not suitable for use during ambulance transport.
• The device may not be used simultaneously with high-frequency sur-
gical devices.
• The device is not intended for commercial use.
• The cuff has been tested for skin tolerance according with ISO 10993-
5:2009 and ISO 10993-10:2010.
• The device is not suitable for those with an allergy to plastics, espe-
cially polyester and nylon.
• The device may only be used indoors.
• In case the pressure of the cuff surpasses 300 mmHg, the device will
automatically interrupt the inflation process and will vent the cuff. You
• The unit contains sensitive parts and must be protected from extreme
temperature fluctuations, humidity, shocks, dust and direct sunlight.
• The patient is the intended user. The device may only be used for
measurements, for charging the battery and for care as described in
the user manual. It may not be used for any other purposes than those
described in the user manual.
• If the cuff does not automatically deflate after use due to a defect,
immediately undo the hook and loop fastening on the cuff. A cuff
pressure above 300 mmHg or a constant pressure above 15 mmHg
over a period of more than 3 minutes can cause ecchymotic bleeding.
• To avoid inaccurate readings, please adhere to the intended operating
and storage conditions. See “Technical data” on page 55.
2. Important technical information
• The device contains small parts that can be swallowed by children.
The charging cable entails the risk of suffocation. The device may not
be left to children unattended.
• The device comes with a safety switch that turns the device off au-
tomatically once the voltage surpasses 8 volt or amperage is above
0.5 ampere.
• The charger shields the device from the electric circuit. Pay attention
to the fact that the charger can be easily disconnected any time from
the electric circuit.
• The charger is part of the medical electrical system. To charge, only
use the provided charger type L1 (see accessories on page 54).

• This device may malfunction if used in the vicinity of wireless com-
munication devices such as local wireless networking devices, mobile
phones, cordless phones and base stations, radios or other devices
with strong electromagnetic fields. Maintain a minimum distance of
30 cm from such devices during use (see “Electromagnetic compati-
bility” on page 58).
• The device is not category AP/APG. It may not be used in the presence
of inflammable anaesthetics with air, oxygen or nitrogen oxide.
