The Digital Infrared Ear Thermometer Domotherm
®
Ear (hereinafter also referred to
as unit) is a high-quality product providing the latest achievements of technology
and tested in accordance with the international standards.
Temperature measurement is about measuring the body temperature that
corresponds to the temperature of the internal organs.
Introduction
Table of contents
As with any other thermometer, the right measuring technique is an essential
requirement for exact measurement results. Please read the operating manual
carefully before using the unit and keep it in a safe place.
Mode of operation:
The unit measures the infrared energy emitting from the middle ear and the
surrounding tissue. This energy is absorbed by lenses and converted into
temperature values.

Warranty
By its unique technology, the Domotherm
®
Ear facilitates solid measured values
free of any disturbing thermal influence with every measurement. Each time it is
switched on, the unit performs an auto-test to guarantee the indicated measuring
accuracy.
A temperature measured in the ear reflects the body‘s core temperature very
precisely because the eardrum and the temperature control centre in the brain,
the hypothalamus, are supplied by joint blood vessels.
Thus, changes in the body temperature are indicated faster and more precisely in
the ear than in other places.
Why measure the temperature in the ear?
The measured values directly received from the middle ear (eardrum) guarantee the
most precise ear temperature.
