Please use the thermometer only for the purposes it is intended for. The unit is
only suitable for temperature determination in the acoustic meatus.
•
Do not immerse this thermometer in water or other liquids (not waterproof).
With respect to cleaning and disinfection, please follow the instructions in the
chapter «Maintaining the unit».
•
Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight and keep it in a dust-free and dry
place. Please note the operation, storage and transport temperature.
•
Do not use the thermometer if indications of damages are visible on the
measuring part or the unit itself.
•
Ear wax in the acoustic meatus and on the measuring probe can influence the
temperature determination. Please make sure that no impurities can affect the
measurement result prior to the measurement.
•
This thermometer consists of high-quality precision parts. Do not drop the
unit! Protect it from severe impacts and shocks or other unfavourable impair-
ments. Please also refer to storage and transport conditions.
•
Caution:
Use of this infrared ear thermometer does not replace appointment with a
doctor.
•
The thermometer is not waterproof! Please do NOT immerse in liquids!
•
The thermometer is not suitable to determine the basal body temperature.
•
Please do not use it for rectal, oral and axillary temperature measurement.
Please note the general safety precautions when applied on children.
Should the thermometer really be damaged: Please do not try to repair it
yourself! Please contact your UEBE Medical GmbH customer service in this
case.
Do not use the thermometer in an inflamed or injured ear.
•
In case of storage outside the ambient operating temperature, the thermo-
meter must be stored unpacked in the treatment room for at least 4 hours to
equal the temperature. We recommend to customers storage in living areas
for immediate use.
