The following components are required to use the ubisys Smart Home System:
•
Gateway G1: In your Smart Home network, the gateway is the central component. It connects the Smart
Home components to your home network. If connected to your router, you can control your components via
the smartphone or tablet app – even from every point in the world if using the internet.
•
An individual selection of ubisys Smart Home components, e.g. universal dimmer D1, jalousie controller J1
etc.
•
Android or iOS apps. Define groups or scenarios, get current power consumption values or create new
bindings.
Note:
For some simple applications you can use your components without needing a gateway or app. In this
case, however, your components won’t get any updates. Electricity specialized companies are able to do an
initial installation of ZigBee components in the finished structural foundation with the ubisys network manager,
or a basic installation and add the gateway at a later time.
ubisys’ wireless components are based on the international standards IEEE 802.15.4 and ZigBee. This guaran-
tees a long term availability of components and a safe investment.
