17. SYSTEM PROGRAMMING
DOOR CONTACTS CLOSED WHEN DOOR IS CLOSED
Tick this box
if the door contact is a standard “intruder alarm” type with normally closed contacts.
Leave the box un-ticked
if the door contact is the normally open type i.e. contacts close when the door is
opened. If there’s no door contact fitted then leave the box un-ticked (or tick the box and loop out the door
contact terminals in the door panel).
CLEAR CALL AT START OF LOCK CYCLE
Tick this box
to minimize the time the system is “BUSY” for other users on multi-entrance systems. As soon
as a resident presses their lock release button other visitors can use the system. You will still get full lock
release indication at the panel last used.
Leave the box un-ticked
for single entrance systems.
DEFEAT PHONE SWITCHED OFF INFORMATION
Tick this box
to stop the door panel display showing “
FLAT XX OFF
” when the telephone called is in privacy
mode. Instead the visitor will hear the ring-tone and the display will show “
CALL
” but the telephone will not
ring. Other door panels on the system can be used whilst this is happening. This option is to comply with
specifications that require the visitor is not told that the telephone is in privacy mode.
Leave the box un-ticked
for “
FLAT XX OFF
” information on the door panel display.
ANTI SYSTEM HOG (MULTI DOOR PANELS ONLY)
Tick this box
if you have multiple door panels on the same system. This will prevent a visitor at one door
from making call after call to one or more flats. When a call is ended “
Anti-Hog
” introduces a delay of 10
seconds before the same panel can be used make another call. The door panel will display “
HOLD
” during this
10 second count-down period, visitors waiting at other entrances have the opportunity to use the system
during this time. If no other panel makes a call during this period then the panel displaying “
HOLD
” will
become available for use again.
Leave the box un-ticked
for single entrance systems.
Hint for multi-entrance deck access systems; set the “Number of Rings” and the “Conversation Time” to the
minimum on the floor level functional panels to help reduce the time these door panels can be active.
CODED ENTRY
With digital door panels you can program up to 6 different Access Codes; 3 of these codes can be used to gain
access to the building 24 hours a day and 3 will only work during trade time periods.
24 HOUR CODES
Enter these codes in boxes 1/2/3.
24 Hour Codes can be 1 to 4 digits long but they CANNOT start with a “0”.
OPERATION:
Press the “CALL” button – the display will show “

”
Enter the 24 Hour Code number – the display will show “

“
Press the “CALL” button followed immediately by the “1” button
If the Code is valid the display will flash “
OPEN
” and the door lock will be released.
TRADE CODES
Enter these codes in boxes 4/5/6.
Trade Codes can be 1 to 4 digits long but they CANNOT start with a “0”.
If you want the “TRADE” button to work directly (without having to put a code in) just leave Code boxes 4/5/6
blank. The “TRADE” button will then release the lock directly provided the time clock is in an “ON” period.
OPERATION:
Press the “TRADE” button – the display will show “

Enter the Trade Code number – the display will show “
