he maximum configuration per iSTAR eX controller is eight (8) RM (RS485)
readers, eight I/8 Modules, and eight R/8 Modules, for a total of:

96 inputs - does not include the special inputs for Tamper, AC Fail,
Battery Low, and three special inputs for external power supply.
„
88 outputs - does not include the two special outputs for external power
supply.
NOTE
An iSTAR eX has up to four RM busses available for Serial and Wyreless
connections. If you use an RM bus for a serial connection, the bus will be
unavailable for a Wyreless connection. For example, you can have 4 serial
and 0 (zero) Wyreless connections; 3 serial and 1 Wyreless connection, etc.
NOTE
There can be up to 16 Wyreless PIMs with a limit of 16 Wyreless readers.
NOTE
UL has evaluated the iStar eX with one I/8 and one R/8 for a maximum of
24 inputs and 16 outputs.
