Operator Level Adjustment and Service
TO AVOID SERIOUS INJURY,
Do Not Attempt To Adjust, Inspect,
Service or Lubricate any Part of the
WIDESPIN 1530 When It Is Operating.
Be Aware of High Hydraulic Oil Temperatures.
Serious Burns and Injuries Are Possible.
Properly Secure The 1530 Before Starting Any
Inspection, Service or Lubrication Procedures.
Operator Level Adjustment and Service
is limited to:
• Lubrication
• Tire Pressure
• Cleaning
• Inspection
• Storage
Refer all other service, adjustments or
repairs to qualified service personnel.
LUBRICATION
All the bearings on the 1530 Top Dresser are sealed and
require no further lubrication. The tilting swivel points on
the spinner assembly should be periodically cleaned,
inspected and lightly coated with machine oil to control
for rust and provide moisture protection.
ENGINE LUBRICATION:
Check the engine oil
level before and after every use. Keep oil level full
in accordance with the instructions in the engine
manufacturers manual.
HYDRAULIC FLUID:
The hydraulic system is filled at the
factory with ISO 68 (Mobil DTE-26
®
or
equivalent) hydraulic fluid. Check the
fluid level in hydraulic reservoir with
the dipstick attached to the filler cap.
If needed, fill to proper level. Capacity of the tank is 34
liters (9 gallons).
Before refilling the hydraulic reservoir, check with
Service Level Personnel to see if the grade of hydraulic
fluid has been changed from the original factory ISO 68.
WARNING
ISO 68
34 Liters (9 Gal)
SV85804-01
Refer to the following chart for information on different
grades of hydraulic fluid for different air temperature
operating ranges.
TO AVOID SERIOUS INJURY,
Do Not Use Your Fingers Or Hands
To Check For Hydraulic Leaks. High
Pressure Leaks Can Puncture The Skin
And Force Oil Into The Body. This Can
Cause Severe Injury Or Death. WEAR
SAFETY GLASSES!!
TIRE PRESSURE
Keep the tire pressure at 138 KpA (20
PSI). Under inflation can cause tire failure
and cause damage to the turf.
CLEANING
Wash the excess top dressing material from the conveyor
belt, hopper and spinner assembly. Wash excess top
dressing material from all components on the bottom
of the top dresser, especially the inside surface of the
conveyor belt and the conveyor belt rollers. Use only
low pressure wash to clean the top dresser.
After extended periods of use, the spinner wheels may
collect a buildup of top dressing material. This will cause
vibration or poor spreading results. During operation,
periodically inspect and remove any buildup of top
dressing material from the spinner wheels, the spinner
assembly deflectors, the guards, and the shields
INSPECTION
After the 1530 has been cleaned, inspect for damage.
Look for loose or missing hardware. Inspect the spinner
wheels for loose or missing vanes. Visually inspect for
hydraulic leaks on the motors, hoses and the hydraulic
fittings. Refer any needed repair work to qualified
service personnel.
