SETUP AND ASSEMBLY
INSTALLATION OF BATTERY AND BATTERY
CABLES
(See Figure 9)
TO AVOID SERIOUS INJURY,
Read and Understand the Safety Warnings
Supplied By the Battery Manufacturer and Printed
on the Battery.
WEAR SAFETY GOGGLES. Batteries Contain Acid
Which Can Cause Severe Burns to Eyes and Skin.
Batteries Emit Explosive Gases, Avoid Sparks and
Open Flames.
Step 24.
Check the hand held control box. Ensure that
the switch is in the OFF (
O
) position.
Step 25.
Remove the cover from the battery box. Place
the battery in the box. The negative (
-
) terminal on
the battery should be to the rear of the machine.
Step 26.
Attach the red battery cable to the positive (
+
)
lug on the battery. Use 1/4”-20 screw and nut.
Step 27.
Attach the black battery cable to the negative
(
-
) lug on the battery. Use 1/4”-20 screw and nut.
Step 28.
Replace the cover to the battery box. The
cables should all exit the box in a group.
Step 29.
DO NOT START THE ENGINE
CHECK THE ENGINE OIL LEVEL AND THE
HYDRAULIC TANK FLUID LEVEL!
