Step 6.
Tip the LS–22 back on its wheels and replace
the spark plug wire.
If the entire blade assembly is removed and disassembled,
the blade holder pairs must be reassembled 60° degrees
from each other. The spacers must also be reassembled
in the right location. Refer to the blade assembly
illustration in the parts list to identify the location and
rotation of the blade assembly components.

BLADE REPLACEMENT
(See Figure 8 and Figure 9)
The LS–22 Lawn Seeder must be tipped back to perform
the blade replacement procedures. To ensure that no
fuel is spilled from the engine
Remove fuel from the
engine before proceeding.
TO AVOID SERIOUS INJURY,
Use Caution When Working With the Blade
Assembly. Blades Are Sharp and Can Easily Cut
Hands and Feet.
Wear the Appropriate Safety Gear.
Individual blades can be replaced one at a time without
removal of the entire blade assembly unit.
Step 1.
Remove the wire from the spark plug.
Step 2.
Tip the LS–22 back on its handlebar and safety
secure. Protect the seed gate handle from damage.
Step 3.
Locate the large castle nut on the pulley end of
the shaft. Remove the cotter pin from the nut and back
nut one or two turns until slack is noted between the
blade holders and the spacers.
Step 4.
Remove and replace the individual blades as
needed from the blade holders. Securely tighten the
carriage bolts holding the blades to the holders. Note
the direction of the blade cutting edge. See Figure 8.
Step 5.
Tighten the large castle nut to tension the blade
assembly. Replace the cotter pin to lock the nut.
