Blade Depth Adjustment:
The blade depth adjustment
knob controls the depth of blade cut into the turf. Blade
depth needs to be adjustable to allow for the variations in
the thickness of existing turf and thatch.
Always Stop the
Engine Before Adjusting the Blade Depth Adjustment.
During operation, the blades should touch the turf enough
to cut into the soil at least 3.17 mm (1/8” inch). The depth
of cut should not exceed 6.35 mm (1/4” inch). Excessive
blade depth will bury the seed too deep. Seed buried too
deep will not germinate. Excessive blade depth will also
cause premature blade wear and undesired operating
vibrations.
Change the blade depth adjustment by unlocking the
adjusting knob, and turning the knob to either raise or
lower the blade assembly. Operate the seeder,
STOP
THE ENGINE,
and check the depth of cut. Change
Adjustment as required.
