Chapter 6:
Testing and troubleshooting
Normally, your Trust Communicator ISDN 128 Internal should
work immediately after installation. If you encounter
problems, test the hardware first and then the ISDN line. If
both tests are run successfully, the problem is probably due to
wrong settings for the modem or network. If one or both tests
gives an error, you will have to solve this first before a
successful connection can be made.
6.1 Testing the hardware
This test is intended to check that your board's components
are operational. Test as follows:
1. Point to the ‘Trust ISDN Monitor’ icon on the Windows 95
task bar, while clicking the right mouse button.
2. Select ‘Properties’.
3. Click ‘Test Hardware’. A status window shows the
condition of various chips on your board.
4. The hardware is working fine if the screen from figure 10 is
displayed.
