9. Click ‘Finish’ to add the new set-up to your ‘Dial-up
Networking’ folder. This setting will be your default
connection to access the Internet. The ‘Internet Properties’
windows is still displayed on the screen.
10. Click the ‘Properties’ button in the ‘Internet Properties’
window (Figure 5). This button can be found in the
‘Connection’ tab.
11. Select the ‘Server Types’ tab. A window similar to that in
figure 6 will be displayed.

12. Make sure the ‘Type of Dial-up Server’ is set to ‘PPP’, and
‘TCP/IP’ is checked.
13. Click ‘TCP/IP Settings’. A windows similar to figure 7 will
be displayed.
14. Enter your IP and DNS addresses into the resulting
dialogue box. This information must be supplied by your
provider. If you don’t have this information, try the settings
from figure 7.
