3. Symptom: The connection cannot be made. The
program displays an error message when trying to dial.
a. Cause:
The ISDN number cannot be reached with the service you
try to connect. An ISDN modem without special application
software cannot connect directly to an analogue modem or
fax.
a. Remedy:
Fill in the right number.
b. Cause:
You are trying to connect through an incompatible ISDN
office switchboard.
b. Remedy:
Use a direct ISDN line.
c. Cause:
The access provider does not support ISDN on the number
you try to connect to. Most providers have several
numbers, but do not provide ISDN support on all numbers.
c. Remedy:
Contact the provider for the right number.
d. Cause:
The password or the user name is incorrect. Most
providers' host systems will disconnect immediately if the
password is wrong.
d. Remedy:
Contact the provider for the right information.
e. Cause:
Wrong network protocols assigned to the Trust
Communicator ISDN 128 Internal.
e. Remedy:
Contact the provider for information on how to access the
service. Restart the installation and fill in the right values.
4. Symptom: The connection works at 64 kbps only and
not at 128 kbps.
