5 Explanation of the camera functions
Functions on the top of the camera (see figure 1).
Point Description Function
1 Exposure button Press this button to take a photograph. This
button is also used to start and stop recording a
video clip.
2 Microphone Records sound whilst recording video clips or
sound after taking a photograph.
3 Rotary button Selection button for selecting the mode.

Functions on the front of the camera (see figure 2).
Point Description Function
1 Rotary button Selection button for selecting the mode.
2 Viewfinder The viewfinder is used to determine the
size and the position of the photograph.
The actual photograph is recorded by the
lens and not the viewfinder. The image may
differ when the digital zoom is used.
3 Flash The built-in flash provides more light for the
subject to be photographed.
4 Automatic exposure
indicator
Flashes when the automatic exposure
function is used.
5 Macro switch Switch for selecting the macro mode (for
taking photographs at close range) or the
normal mode.
6 USB connection Connection for connecting the camera to
the USB port of a computer.
7 DC-In connection Connection for an external power adapter
(not supplied -> 3.3 VDC, 2.0 A).
8 Lens slide Slide to open the lens protector.
9 Lens protector Protects the lens when the camera is not in
use.
