Function
Tyre pressure sensors are fitted to the
front and rear wheels. These sensors
measure the air pressure inside the tyre
and transmit pressure data to the
instruments. These sensors will not
transmit the data until the motorcycle is
travelling at a speed greater than
12 mph (20 km/h). Two dashes will be
visible in the display area until the tyre
pressure signal is received.
An adhesive label will be fitted to the
wheel rim to indicate the position of the
tyre pressure sensor, which is near the
valve.
For motorcycles without the tyre
pressure monitoring system fitted:
The
tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS)
is an accessory fitted item and must be
fitted by your authorised Triumph
dealer. The TPMS display on the
instruments will only be activated when
the system has been fitted.
TPMS Sensor ID Number
An ID number for each tyre pressure
sensor is printed on a label which is on
the sensor. This number may be
required by the dealer for service or
diagnostics.
If the TPMS has been fitted at the
factory, labels identifying the front and
rear TPMS sensor ID numbers will be
affixed to the spaces below.
If the TPMS is being fitted to the
motorcycle as an accessory, ensure that
the dealer records the front and rear
TPMS sensor ID numbers in the spaces
provided below.
