Spring Preload Settings
Warning
Make sure that the correct balance
between front and rear suspension is
maintained.
Suspension
imbalance
could
significantly
change
handling
characteristics leading to loss of
motorcycle control and an accident.
Refer to the tables for further
information or consult your authorised
Triumph dealer.
Speed Triple 1200 RR is delivered from
the factory with the front suspension
set at the Solo (normal) riding setting, as
shown in the relevant front suspension
setting chart. The Solo suspension
settings provide a comfortable ride and
good
handling
characteristics
for
general, solo riding.
The suspension settings charts show
suggested settings for the front
suspension and are only a guide. Setting
requirements may vary for rider weight
and personal preferences.

Number of adjuster turns clockwise from the
fully anticlockwise position.
Spring Preload Adjustment
The spring preload adjusters are located
at the top of each fork.
Additional procedures are required
before the spring preload can be
adjusted on the Speed Triple 1200 RR.
Refer to the service manual for the
detailed procedures.
Once the additional procedures have
been completed, then follow the spring
preload adjustment procedure below.

Spring preload adjusters
To change the spring preload:

Rotate the spring preload adjuster
clockwise to increase preload, or
anticlockwise to decrease preload.
▼
Always
count
the
number
of
clockwise turns from the fully
anticlockwise position and set both
forks to the same settings.
