calibration software on the PC. The iGC then compares this with its measured heading and
stores the difference. This procedure is repeated for various points around the compass.
Upon completion of the swing routine, the iGC constructs an offset curve by extrapolating
between the measured points and stores this in memory.
The more points visited during the swing, the more accurate the final offset curve will be.
The minimum number of points is four approximately equally spaced close to the cardinal
