6) Deploy Diaphragms
Orient a Diaphragm so that the front face of the Quad-Beam shape faces toward the Nose of
the system as shown in Figure 23. Slide one Diaphragm all the way to the Backup to ensure
the system is able to collapse properly during impact. Once this has been verified, slide the
Diaphragm forward to approximately 32” [813 mm] in front of the Backup. Orient and slide all
Diaphragms onto Monorail and position each approximately as shown below (Figure 24).
7) Attach End Cap
Attach End Cap to the Monorail as shown in Figure 25 and the Monorail Assembly drawing.
