Installing and Removing Options

5 

 Remove the screws that secure the CD-ROM drive to the drive bracket and lift out

the drive.

6 

 Remove the new CD-ROM drive from its protective wrapper and place it on an

antistatic surface.

7 

 Adjust any jumpers or switches according to the manufacturer’s instructions in your

CD-ROM drive manual.

8 

 Slide your new CD-ROM drive into the bracket so the holes on the drive bracket

are aligned with the holes on the CD-ROM drive. Tighten the screws provided
with the drive to secure the drive to the bracket.
