5. Wire Processing
Operation of M100LFG-TT-A consists of system start-up, program start-up, wire loading, wire
marking, system shutdown and emergency stop procedures.
System start-up:
Press Start button on the front panel.
Program start-up:
Turn on the computer and start the Marker program. The system will run through a short self-
testing cycle. If no faults are detected the main widow appears.
Wire loading:
1.
Load the wire as shown on the Fig. 4.8. If possible, attach the tail end of the wire to the
grounding clip.
2.
Open the front door
of the cabinet.
3.
Loose the straightener and open the belts using the toggle switch
4.
Feed the wire from the left of the cabinet to the straightener, under the tension roller, between
the pulling belts and through the wire guide into the cutting block (Fig.4.6).
5.
Make sure that the wire is in the middle of the pulling belts and close the belts using the
toggle
switch.

Gently, pull the wire back from the left side of the cabinet and tight the straightener.
7.
Use air pressure regulator on the back of the cabinet to adjust the belts pressure if necessary.
8.
Close the door.
Wire marking:
1.
From the main menu screen open a file with existing data or enter the new data following
Software Guide, Chapter 9.
2.
When starting a job for the first time or after a break press the Laser On button to warm up
the laser.
3.
Press the Run button. Powerful laser beam starts scanning on the wire surface. Observe the
marked wire coming into the coiling pan. Press the Stop button if there is no marking or
marking quality is poor. Otherwise, continue to process wires. The system stops
automatically when all wires in the file are processed. The system also stops when door is
open or laser-scanner malfunction is detected. Refer to Chapter 7 for troubleshooting options.
Emergency stop:
Press EMERGENCY STOP on the front panel to shut down the system.
