4. Precautions
• Do not heat the pressure cooker when empty, and do not allow all the
water to evaporate during cooking.
• Check on the cooker regularly while in use.
• Use extreme caution when handling the cooker, especially when there is
pressure inside.
• After reaching internal pressure, reduce the intensity of the heat source.
• After cooking, remove the food from inside the pot and clean it. We do
not recommend storing foods inside the pot.
• Always observe the usage conditions of the different parts of your
pressure cooker. For replacement, contact the nearest Tramontina unit at
one of the addresses found on the website
(www.tramontina.com.br)
or
contact the Tramontina Help Desk.
Closing the cooker:
• To close the pressure cooker, make sure the arrow on the lid is pointing
at the arrow on the handle. Fit the lid to the body and turn it clockwise
until the handles are fully aligned, indicating that the pressure cooker is
closed (figures 4 to 6).
• If the lid is not completely closed, the safety lock button will not lock and
the cooker will not become pressurized. Therefore, be sure to check that
the lid is properly closed.
• If the lid handle goes past the pot handle by a few millimeters clockwi
-
se, the pressure cooker is still safe and fit for use.
IMPORTANT:
Always hold the cooker by both
handles, whether the cooker is hot or cold, to
avoid accidents when handling
(figure 7).
