Using a hammer, lightly strike just one side (or both) of the stationary block (see
image below) while continuously reading the signal on the scale monitor (or the
multimeter). If the signal decreases, tighten the vertical locking nut to -40.0 mV and
strike lightly again. If the signal remains stable, go to the next step, otherwise you
have to tighten and strike again.

Tighten the
⅜
-24 x 1-½" vertical bolt to the fixed block as far as it will go.

Release the horizontal locking nut until the signal is -26.0 mV for a full beam. For an
empty "beam", release the nut until the signal is -22.0mV.
IMPORTANT: Do not go below -26.0 mV (-22.0 mV if "beam" empty), otherwise you
will have to repeat Steps 16 to 19.

Remove the nut from the "Skintight" fastener, then insert the sensor cable into the
hole in the protective cover and replace the nut.
CAUTION: Do not strike
the sensor or
adjustment block.
