6.5 Process output data
Danger of physical injury and material damage due to an actual value
jump during execution of the adjustment function!
The adjustment function should only be performed when the measuring
system is stationary, or the resulting actual value jump must be permitted
by both the program and the application!

Execute
adjustment
By means of the process output data a 32-bit adjustment value can be
transmitted and set as new position value via the cyclic I/O output data X+0
to X+3. The adjustment value must be within the measuring range. If an
invalid adjustment value is transmitted, the adjustment is not accepted. This
circumstance is visually displayed by the Device status LED = red, see
chapter "Device status LED" on page 80.
The adjustment value is set with a rising edge 0->1 of this bit in the control
byte X+4. By resetting of this bit from 1->0, the adjustment function is reset
and prepared for a new preset adjustment cycle.
A value of
≠ 2
0
= 0 in the control byte locks the parameter
Set Position
and prevents the acyclic access to the position adjustment, also see chapter
8.1 on page 78.

Switch on/off
laser diode
By setting this bit the laser diode is switched off for the extension of the life
time. Writing a “0” switches the laser diode on again.
If the measuring system does support external inputs and under "Index
0x006E: Ext. Input Function" is "Switch-Off Laser-Diode" preselected, this
function is ineffective, see page 73.
2
Clear Error
If in “Index 0x0066: Failure Autoquit” the setting is preselected “Not
Automatically
”, by setting this bit an occurring error report is deleted. If the
error could not be eliminated, the corresponding bit in the status byte is set
in the next cycle again. Optionally, the error can also be deleted by the
external switching input, see page 73.
